JUST ANNOUNCED: BBC AMERICA will premiere The Musketeers on Sunday, June 22 and has picked up the second season for 2015.

A fresh and contemporary take on the classic Alexandre Dumas characters, The Musketeers is set on the streets of seventeenth century Paris, where law and order is an idea more than a reality. In addition to being King Louis XIII’s personal bodyguards, Athos, Aramis and Porthos stand resolutely for social justice, honor, valor, love - and for the thrill of it. The 10-part first season premieres Sunday, June 22, 9:00pm ET.

Luke Pasqualino (Skins, The Borgias) stars as D’Artagnan alongside Tom Burke (Great Expectations, The Hour) as Athos, Santiago Cabrera (Merlin, Heroes) as Aramis and Howard Charles (Royal Shakespeare Company) as Porthos. Peter Capaldi (Doctor Who, The Hour, The Thick Of It), Maimie McCoy (Loving Miss Hatto), Tamla Kari (Cuckoo, The Inbetweeners Movie) and Hugo Speer (Bedlam) also star in the series.

Additionally, viewers can expect to see guest cast including JJ Feild (Captain America: The First Avenger), Vincent Regan (Snow White and the Huntsman), Ashley Walters (Inside Men), Amy Nuttall (Downton Abbey), Tara Fitzgerald (Waking the Dead), Annabelle Wallis (X-Men: First Class), Zoe Tapper (Mr Selfridge), Vinnie Jones (Snatch) and Sean Pertwee (Elementary).

US fans of BBC Drama rejoice, The Musketeers will play on BBC America from June 22.

Just got my Barnes and Noble edition of The Complete Sherlock Holmes! I’m so excited, but there’s no chance I’ll get to delve into it until after schools over in June.

But I guess I have some good motivation now! No senioritis for me!

Mitosis Explained Through Donuts

Maybe if biology teachers explained cell division using doughnuts we would remember it better. In fact, why don’t all teachers use food related tools? My school is going New Tech (which I despise), but maybe I’d be more receptive to it if the new ‘techniques’ happened to involve food. And fun. But anything involving food is fun. Generally.
